Freight InsuranceWhenever goods travel there is a RISK!Legally it is the owners responsiblity to insure the goods, MAS | Melbourne Air & Seafreight Services strongly recommend that all shipments are Insured for your own protection. Freight Insurance is available for Import or Export shipments. Insurance protection can be tailored to meet your specific shipping requirements. MAS can arrange Freight Insurance for one-off shipments or regular commercial shipments throughout the world and across Australia. MAS will organise freight insurance through only the most reputable Australian based Insurers. Cargo Insurance protects against theft, partial or total loss and damage. I.e.: Shipping Lines will revert to the law of general average (a legal principle of maritime law) for claims. I.e.: Airlines will revert to the Montreal Convention or the Warsaw Convention that may be applicable to the liability carrier as listed on the back of Airwaybill.
